I am Vivek Puri and am currently based in New Delhi, India. After working with various small and big companies , including ILOG and IBM India, for more than 15 years I launched my own company MimirTech along with my friend Gora Mohanty.

I am passionate about computer hardware and software and am always looking to learn something new or to apply that knowledge to build better softwares. I strongly believe in open source softwares.

I have been influenced by many science fictions and Japanese animes. Ghost in the Shell , remains one of my all time favorites. It shouldn't come as a surprise given my interest in computers.

About the site

By now you know about my interests in computers and fiction. I have been fascinated by capabilities of computers and what they can possibly do in future. The area which interests me most has been artificial intelligence and hence name of my blog, Machine Intelligence, which is another name for AI.

The phrase And now for something different comes for popular TV series, Monty Python.
